Adrien, 25, Owner/Designer of DCXV Industries, Creator of I BELIEVE IN NASHVILLE
What's your Nashville story?
"I'm a born and raised Nashvillian. I grew up in the music business, specifically the opulence and absurdity that was the 90's music business. After going to school for music, I came home and through very Spinal Tap circumstances, found myself bandless. Art and design have always been a part of my life (my mother is an artist), so about this time I started to produce more. I was just working out of my garage, but people were responding, and before I knew it I'd quit my job and went into designing full time. I've been fortunate thus far and I'm just glad to be able to contribute something positive to the city, even if it's not music. It's not like we're short on guitar players."
What is your favorite part of your outfit and why?
"I should shamelessly promote myself and say "my DCXV 'Love & Justice" shirt of course!", but truthfully it's my leather jacket. I was a big kid growing up and my Dad bought it for me in 7th Grade on a whim one day, probably because it was cool and on sale; he wasn't too concerned with it fitting right. It was a little big at the time but it's worked out because now it fits perfectly. I suppose I really just love how it's not "vintage". It's mine. I put the wear and tear into it."
